Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial artist who is who is a part of UFC. UFC at the flyweight division, is currently a Kyrgyzstani. She is also the elder sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a Golden medal in 2011, the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious with a TKO at the end of round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on her kickboxing, and she made her comeback in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. In the past, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
